24 pitted prunes
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
12 strips of bacon, cut in half to make 24 smaller strips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Soak toothpicks in hot water for about 15 minutes
Place blue cheese in the cavity of the prune where the pit was
Wrap bacon around the prune, and secure with a toothpick
Roast in oven on a rack for about 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is nice and crisp
In a double boiler, heat chocolate, 1/4 cup water and butter until the chocolate and butter are melted. Cool for 10 minutes. In a small heavy saucepan, whisk egg yolks, sugar and remaining water. Cook and stir over low heat until mixture reaches 160 degrees F, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from the heat; whisk in chocolate mixture. Set saucepan in ice and stir until cooled, about 5-10 minutes. Fold in whipping cream and place into serving dishes, cover with plastic and place in refrigerator overnight.
