About Me

In my family, each generation has produced a seeker...

In my family, each generation has produced a Seeker, who reads the cards for the purposes of giving guidance and direction to the family.   I have always been fascinated with the symbolic imagery on the cards. It was my Grandfather whom I first watched do this, he used a regular deck of cards, laid out in a grid pattern.  This was taught to him by Gypsies that traveled through Sicily when he was a youth.  Later, the sister of a dear friend introduced me to the Rider Waite deck, and the rest is history.  My Grandfather's cards, with pictures!  The Major Arcana left me breathless.  These images spoke to me of archetypes implanted into the deepest chasms of our human psyche.  These images tell a story, creating a pictoral journal, or diary, of our passage through the various stages of our lives.  The Tarot reading will present a series of pictures; images that can tell us much about where we are, and what we may be headed towards.  These readings in no way restrict a persons free will!  The images and what they represent merely suggest paths that are before us, and the reading can also provide insight into which path would be best for the seeker to take.  But the choice on how to use these energies is completely up to the Seeker.  Much like Astrology, where the stars may impel, but they never compel, the same philosophy can be applied to the cards.  They can never force you to do anything, or predict what you may do!  The path you choose is completely up to the Seeker. The Tarot and Astrology are linked in many ways, with wisdom and prayer we can use both for guidance and benefit in our lives.

The Tarot journey is taken by those seeking to turn life experiences into wisdom. I use Jungian archetypes to interpret the cards. The Tarot is an excellent tool for problem solving, clarification, and spiritual growth. In our scientific age, fortune telling is frowned upon, and even forbidden in many churches. Modern Tarot readers focus more upon meditation and spiritual enlightenment. I am not, nor have I ever been a fortune-teller. However, I feel that when you do work with clients and the cards over the years, the Tarot does have an uncanny way of predicting upcoming events.   I prefer calling what I do forecasting, much like predicting the weather, or what financial markets may do. I feel the Tarot is a beautiful way of recognizing God's plan for us, his great love for us, and the majesty of his divine power.  I begin each reading with a prayer asking our Guardian Angels for guidance and wisdom. Every reading ends with Thanksgiving to our Creator, and I teach that He may be watching us from a distance, but nothing that occurs within the walls of this world escapes His notice.

I dislike "written in stone" one meaning interpretations of the cards. Much depends on the querent's questions, other cards that appear in the reading, and the position of the cards in the spread. I feel the best way to achieve a soul connection between the querent and myself is to perform each reading by hand, without the aid of "modern technology".  I do consult with the works of the great Tarot Masters, both from older sources, and the New Age.

Astrological influences that may effect us all are examined in the General Monthly reading, which can be found on the Tarotscope page.  Please visit to read about what the heavens indicate may be happening down here on Terra Firma for all of us, and there you can also find my Tarot Card of the Month for each of the twelve Sun Signs.  Please take a look in my Treasure Drawer also, to view my Tarot Card of the Week, and other fun links, recipes, patterns, and stories from the Loom of Vaire the Weaver.

All that can be said about the Tarot is beyond the scope of this website.  For the curious, I would recommend any of the works by Eden Gray.  I still refer back to her works and interpretations to this day.  She is in my mind, the Grand Dame of the Tarot, every time I read one of her books, something new is revealed to my mind.  Just like finding pearls of wisdom on beaches of white sand.

For those curious about how the Tarot came to be what we know it as today, please refer to " The Tarot  History, Symbolism, and Divination" by Robert M. Place.  It is, in my opinion, the definitive work about the history of the cards.
